Love my new Bosch hood! I saw a couple reviews that talked about the lights getting really hot. I loosened the screws to open the lighting case and it not longer gets hot.

We've had it for a year now, and it still works as expected. Occasionally there is a hum which seems to get better once the motor is running for a few minutes, but otherwise the motor is quiet and all you hear is the air. The suction power is pretty good and you can see the steam/smoke getting sucked into the hood.

I purchased all 800 series appliances for my kitchen. However, I did not like how large the 800 hood was and settled for this. Glad I did. The footprint is small, is powerful and quiet. My only negative is that it shipped without bulbs.

This is a relatively small range hood that fits our 1960s vintage kitchen perfectly. The sound level is amazingly low for how much air is moved.

I like my Bosch hood and have no problems with it. However, I feel very strongly that it should have come with 2 lightbulbs that fit in the socket underneath the hood. My particular model doesn't include lightbulbs with the hood. I had to make a special trip to the store to purchase the lightbulbs that fit in the sockets underneath the hood which was very annoying. Also, why does it have to be halogen lightbulbs? Why can't it be LED lightbulbs? Halogen lights get so hot and can overheat easily.

My 500 Series hood works great. Not terribly loud on high speed. We have ours mounted a bit higher than specs call for but it handles fumes and steam fine. Very happy with the purchase. Looks great over our Bisch induction range (that we also love).

I love the range hood. It's got ckeannanfnskeeknlines. The blower has 4 speeds and works like a charm. However. The lights are a pain to Install. I've had two go in and click but a week to 10 days later they fall out and shatter all-over the stove. Both times no one was using store or anywhere near the range hood. It's a poor design to say the least.

I appreciate the Bosh hood as a means of clearing out the fumes of cooking. I would love to make some suggestions. Have the controls for both fan and lights with greater selection, even to a variable resistor instead of the three setting on the fan and one on the lamps. Also, make is easily available for the customer to order and replace the charcoal filters themselves. I am most capable of following the directions that came with the package ordered through the dealer. Four clips are not such a large challenge.
Overall, I am glad to have this hood above my Bosch 8000 range. It an efficienet operational equipment/

The light fixtures in this hood do not come with light bulbs. It seems a bit petty, but when you buy an appliance that has lights built into them (i.e., a hood or oven) you don't expect to have to go buy light bulbs. It seems like an awkward way to cut costs for a company that prides itself on premium products. And having ordered a cooktop, a hood and a double oven from Bosch, it detracts from the experience. Additionally, the fit and finish of this stamped metal appliance is inferior to other Bosch products we own.
