New Backup Refrigerator

We are very pleased with our new refrigerator. Although this is our backup fridge we use primarily for our basement bar and game room, it is a great looking addition to the room. It is also very nice inside as well. The glass shelving adds a nice touch.

Purchased refrigerator from Lowe™€™s on 2-18 which they delivered-hasn™€™t even been a month and on Friday 2-10 starting having issues was not cooling & freezer not working properly either! Headed to Lowe™€™s to see what could be done and hit a walk! Lowe™€™s did not want to help or replace until ours received service. Told us to call Frigidaire which we tried , but they are not open on a weekend-meanwhile lost our food and highly irritated. Got ahold of somebody for a service call but not until 3-16-22. Everything from start to finish of this issue has been exhausting and customer service ridiculous. We are senior citizens not easy running around for us and needless to say nobody hesitated to make the sale and take our money, but missing in action for help in getting us a refrigerator that works to replace the one that isn™€™t even a month old! Disgusted

We had to replace a larger unit quickly and this fridge was highly recommended. The size was on the small side but once we ™€œfilled™€ the unit, there was still plenty of room do to the shelving adjustments and door space. The unit has worked fine and we expect to use it for many years.

All the reviews I read and saw said that today we should buy basic refrigerators - no frills, no ice maker (a frequent source of problems), no water or ice dispenser in the door, etc. The simpler it is, the longer it will last and the less trouble it will cause. This model is exactly that refrigerator. The interior plastic bins and shelf support are noticeably less robust than on ~10 yr old models, but they will be fine with careful use.

The owner's manual explains how to level the refrigerator. The leveling adjusters are not there to operate the leveling of the refrigerator. I had to fabricate shims to accommodate this task.

Just the Right Size as a Second Refrigerator

We bought this to use as a second refrigerator in our kitchen for the two of us. It fits perfectly into our breakfast nook area., and the white coloring matches our decor. We love the sliding cold cuts drawer, and the door shelves have more than adequate space to accommodate gallon milk containers, and a large number of soda bottles. The bottle door shelf has adequate room to store eight 1-liter bottles of seltzer water/soda. The freezer space allows us to take advantage of sales, and stock-up on frozen foods. There is no light in the freezer, but we find this to be a minor inconvenience.The two crisper drawers for vegetables/fruit are more than adequate, and keep our goods fresh and crisp for a long time. The temperature controls are easy to use, and keep our food at just the right temperature. This refrigerator doesn't have all the bells and whistles like our other French double door model, but it easily makes it up in terms of price, and usefullness.

A little disappointing

We know it is not the most expensive model but it should be better. The refrigerator makes a strange noise while it is running. Not very loud but it sounds like a motorcycle starting up. The freezer door is not properly sealed so that there is a build up of ice on the door frame.

Just getting the refrigerator was bad. Lowes first delivery was damaged so they took the refrig back and left the icemaker. The second refrigerator was delivered and installed but the ice maker was the incorrect icemaker was ordered for that refridgerator so we had to wait,again, for the correct icemaker. Was not happy with this at all.

I have a new Frigidaire refrigerator that the auto defrost failed over 10 days ago. I am stilling waiting for the repair part and service person to return and repair my NEW refrigerator!!!I own rental properties and some of them need new refrigerators. I usually buy GE appliances, but they were not very many choices available from them when I purchased this Frigidaire.
