Fantastic... 13 Cu. Ft Upright Freezer

Our daughter bought a larger Frigidaire Freezer last year so we have been watching how it has been doing, both hers and ours are doing fantastic. The 13 Cu Ft is large enough for the 2 of us to take advantage of 2 for 1 sales, after all being on retirement we have to watch every penny, so this was definitely a hard decision to let go of the money to buy it. Home Depot even had it on sale in January, what a blessing! It was well worth it, we couldn't be happier.

Got a upright freezer to replace a chest freezer. Everything is right in front of me and I don't have to dig though the chest freezer anymore. What would be nice would been a thermostat reading on the door to show the temperature instead the freezer.

We got this to replace an older freezer that failed. I went to the basement and saw a puddle of water in front of the old freezer, it had quit working. We lost about $900 worth of food. We purchased the new freezer for some of the new warning systems. This model has a bright green power indicator and an audible alarm if the temperature gets to high or the door is left open. These features would have helped prevent our food loss. I highly recommend this freezer.

The worst customer service ever

After 1 1/2 weeks, the power light was flashing. It took forever to find out why, and the answer isn't in the manual. The freezer was delivered on January 22nd. On February 20th I had to move hundreds of dollars worth of meat into my fridge freezer. It took SEVEN days to get a service person. Two parts are likely needed (hopefully that's the issue). They were ordered and it will take a week to ten days to arrive. Since then, the food still in the freezer defrosts half way and then freezes again. For over $700 I would have assumed that there would be better service for a major appliance. AND there is no reimbursement for food lost.

So far the freezer is everything we hoped it would be. Lots of room, more than we expected (13cu ft), we have a quarter cow, a quarter pig plus some chicken and pizzas and there™€™s still room. I like the light on the front at the floor. It™€™s just a green indicator light that lets you know it™€™s working. Something simple but effective.

We bought this Frigidaire upright freezer to replace out old chest freezer we have in the garage. My only regret is I wish we'd have done it sooner. It's so nice to not have to dig though all the stuff in the freezer when you want to get something. Freezer keeps everything plenty cold and has adequate shelving. I would recommend to friends.

Our last freezer was a Frigidaire 8cuft chest freezer that lasted 18 years. While it worked well, we wanted something a little larger and an upright because items get lost at the bottom of chest freezers. I found the largest upright that would fit down our basement stairwell. We love it - great capacity, and we can see what we have! Lighted inside as well. Highly recommended.

My 2nd Frigidaire Freezer

My 11 cu ft Frigidaire upright freezer died after just shy of 18 years. Never gave me any problems. It was a no brainer to replace with another Frigidaire! I was disappointed that I couldn't find another 11 cu ft frost free, but the 13 cu ft was perfect - my issue is a small built-in laundry room space, so width was crucial. The 13 cu ft is actually almost an inch narrower, perfect! My old freezer was totally "manual" - no inside light, no alarms, etc. I'm giddy & LOVE the helpful features of the 13 cu ft. Especially comforting is the green light at the bottom that the unit is running. I also love the alarm that will notify if temp drops. The 13 cu ft is also much lighter, so it will be MUCH easier to slide it out for dusting & cleaning behind it. After 18 years of dependable & reliable use, it was a no brainer that I would replace with another Frigidaire. I highly recommend Frigidaire & would also recommend to family & friends. A great value, dependable & an affordable, quality product.

Chose this model to replace our still running 13 year old Frigidaire (Kenmore) 5 Cu Ft upright. We needed more storage and decided that after such great service on the older Freezer we had to stay with Frigidaire. After Home Depot delivery, we let the temperature control at the recommended factory position. After the user manual suggested (4) hours for the unit to run, I checked the inside temperature with a laser thermonmeter and it was at 0.5 degrees. After that we transferred frozen items from the smaller freezer AND were able to relocate a number or other frozen foods from our kitchen refridgerator/freezer. It's so nice to finally be able to see and get to the food without constantly digging around looking for items. So far we could not be more pleased with our decision to stay with Frigidaire.
